Engr. Kervin Clyde C. Go, a graduate of CKSC high school batch 1999 and currently a volunteer scoutmaster and chairman of the Adult Leader’s Council of the Chiang Kai Shek College Scout Center, was selected  one of the 9 Outstanding Scoutmasters of the Philippines during the Tribute to the Scoutmasters Ceremony held last May 21, 2014 at L’ Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City. The event was part of the 58th Annual National Council Meeting (ANCM) of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

The Tribute to the Scoutmaster award aims to recognize Outstanding Scoutmasters who have shown continued dedication and outstanding contribution and devotion towards the development of young people, teaching, rearing and guiding them as responsible citizens of the society. Engr. Go is the third Scoutmaster from Chiang Kai Shek College who was bestowed this recognition, following the footsteps of his former Scoutmasters, Judelio L. Yap (1997) and Samuel S. Chua (2002).

Scouter Kervin Clyde Go has served as a volunteer adult leader of Chiang Kai Shek College Scout Center since 1999, selflessly dedicating his time and effort to train young boys and girls in Scouting without salaries and remunerations. A licensed Electronics Engineer by profession working full-time at Smart Communications Inc., he and the other volunteer adult leaders are the people behind the solid programs of the CKSC Scout Center. He is also an Assistant Leader Trainer for the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of Scouting Movement (WOSM), having completed all leadership training requirements set forth by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

Among his notable contributions to the CKSC Scout Center are the successful implementation of its membership recruitment strategies, the re-branding strategy for CKSC Scouts, introduction of various unique activities and active involvement to more council, regional, national, and International Scouting activities and community service projects by CKSian scouts. He continues to contribute his skills and knowledge to coach and develop CKSC scout achievers. Under his mentorship, Chiang Kai Shek College has produced 43 Eagle Scout awardees, the highest advancement rank in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines attainable by a senior scout. He is a mentor to many CKSC scouts who won in the search for Ten Outstanding Scouts of Manila (TOSM) as well as national winners in the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines (TOBS). After all, he himself was a former winner of the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts award during his high school days.

Congratulations and keep up the good work, Sir Kervin!
