Non- Philippine team members Brandon Sing, Skyler Claveria, Roanne Yu, and Precilla Aquino produced four gold medals each to mark the third day of swimming competitions in the 2014 Philippine National Games at the Rizal Memorial Pool.

Sing, a 16 year old high school graduate of Chiang Kai Shek, picked up his fourth gold in the boys’ 15 and over 50- meter backstroke in 29.76 seconds to add to his wins in the 200m back (2:21.42), 4x200m medley relay (2:01.42), and 100m back (1:04.24).

He broke his personal best of 29.85sec in the 50m back, a small feat for the upcoming Ateneo student this school year who dreamed of making into the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships next year.

“I’m pretty satisfied with how I fared this year. I think I performed better than last year,” said Sing, who will compete for Ateneo in the UAAP later this year.

The 15-year old Claveria, meanwhile, grabbed two golds in the final day- boys’ 15 and over 100m butterfly (1:01.73) and the 100m breaststroke (1:10.97)- to add to his early victories in the 50m breast (31.63sec) and 50m fly (27.66sec).

Twenty one year old Yu, for her part, made a splash in the distaff side, winning in the 50m free (28.66sec) aside from triumphing in the 400m (5:12.84), 4x200m free relay (2:04.06), and 4x200m medley relay (2:19.88).
