Lynette E. Chung, a fourth year student of our high school student was recently judged Champion in the Annual Children’s Art Exhibition On-the-Spot Drawing Contest organized by the Manila Downtown YMCA Club last July 25, 2010 at the YMCA.
Lynette’s art piece is entitled “A Colorful Way of Celebrating Life”. The piece features the famous MassKara Festival of Bacolod City to symbolize the myriad talents and ingenuity of the Filipinos.
In the same genre, Josie Chong, Angelu Kaye Tiu, and Abigail Hong, all fourth year CKSC high school students won the Special Citation Award in the Europe Ko ‘To Art Assemblage Contest sponsored by the Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines. Art assemblage is a three-dimensional artwork made of different materials put together to form one unified concept art piece or composition. More than twenty five (25) public and private schools competed in this contest. The art assemblage of our students is entitled “Ship of Unity”. It was placed on display at the lobby of the Cultural Center of the Philippines for a week last July as part of their Earth Day Celebration.
