The Science learning area of the Junior High School Division recently celebrated the Science month last September with a theme of “Agham at Teknolohiya: Sandigan ng Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaayusan, at Kinabukasan.”  The said event was participated by our JHS students from Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10 both in the online and distance learning program.  The highlight of the activity showcases the accomplished science output of the students through a video documentation. This celebration aims to build a strong connection between science subjects and our Junior High School students in an online modality and inspire and encourage them to take courses and enter in the industries related in the field of sciences.

This Science Month Celebration was able to carry out the following objectives: to become aware of the significance of Science and Technology in medical science and allied sciences in discovering ways in protecting our society from diseases and the environment from the destructive human activities; to showcase the creativity and intelligence of the students through on hand activities, writing reflection paper, environmental pledge and making a slogan about environmental science through a documentary film and to embark the trade mark of the Science CKScians culture that is unique and has the seal of academic excellence.

What makes this celebration unique is that,it has been done in an online platform through the effort of our students with the guidance of their Science teachers.  During the celebration, students from Grades 7, 9, and 10 watched the documentary film entitled: 6 Degrees could Change the World.  Reflection paper, slogans, and environmental pledge were made by the aforementioned grade levels.  While Grade 8 students designed  simple experiments in one of the lessons in Biology using materials found at home.  On-hand activities, fun facts, and graphic organizers performed by the students were included in a video documentation to showcase the CKScians brand and to set the normality mood even in this time of pandemic.
