The students of the CKSC IB Primary Years Programme (Candidate School) held a Virtual Exhibit on April 8, 2022, Friday via Zoom. Joined by their parents, they celebrated and shared their learning on the Unit of Inquiry- “Sharing the Planet” with the theme “Sustainability and Human Response.”

The event started with a presentation on the “subsistence crisis” the world is experiencing. It was followed by the different human responses such as water conservation, waste reduction, preventing extinction, poverty, and an action plan for medical care that was presented by the other grade levels. All presentations took weeks of rigorous preparations for the students.

At the end of the program, the students created and accomplished a pledge wall where everyone had a chance to contribute while showcasing their creativity. Most of the students promised to do little changes in their everyday life as they realized that through simple actions, they can help the environment. This journey for the students of the PYP helped them understand that the principles of the environment take root in almost everything we do.
