Pinyin is important as a foundation for learning Mandarin Chinese. Beginners can learn Chinese more rapidly by using pinyin. Pinyin tone markers serve as visual reminders and make learning tones easier. Furthermore, learning pinyin also allows you to start typing Chinese on a computer.
 
Registration is now ongoing for CAMPA’s Hanyu Pinyin Class. Classes shall be held Mondays and Fridays, 1PM to 3PM, starting May 23, and shall run for 10 sessions.
