The CKSC Wong Chun Seng Memorial Preschool celebrated "Buwan Ng Wika: Salu-salo sa Preschool" last August 30. The hallway of the kindergarten classrooms was embellished with colorful streamers, tables were adorned with a variety of Philippine-made products and appetizing Filipino dishes. Children in traditional Filipino attire paraded inside the school campus.
Laughter and excitement filled the air as numerous inspiring programs were presented. A group oration or Sabayang Pagbigkas was rendered by some high-spirited children right after an enlightening video presentation of Philippine symbolism was shown. Moreover, children sang along to a few Filipino songs. Chants and cheers also echoed through while groups of guests and children had a match in playing one of the featured Filipino games called "Jack en Poy". The merry making continued on and everyone enjoyed a simple food banquet.
This event was done to inculcate the young minds with the virtues of nationalism and respect for other people’s tradition and that despite of the cultural diversity, people in the Philippines are unified by the one common language that they all speak: Filipino.
