Raymond Q. Datuon, DEM has represented Chiang Kai Shek College in various local and international research conferences in a month's time. After recently completing his Doctor in Educational Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, he took advantage of great opportunities by presenting his dissertation entitled, “Competing Values Framework of Administrators among Private Colleges in the National Capital Region”.
The CKSC ManCom has approved and financially supported the first international paper presentation of Dr. Datuon to the 3rd International Symposium on Society, Tourism, Education and Politics organized by Asia-Pacific Education and Research Association (APERA) held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore last September 13-15, 2013. The said conference aimed to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians, and industrial professionals across the globe to present their researches and development activities in Society, Technology, Tourism, Education and Politics. It has likewise provided opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and best practices, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaborations. Dr. Datuon was the only Filipino representing the largest Filipino-Chinese Higher Education Institution in the said conference.
He has also presented his paper at the Graduate School Research Colloquium of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines on September 28, 2013 in celebration of its 43rd Founding Anniversary. The colloquium highlighted the outstanding papers of its alumni in the fields of Education, Science and Technology, Business, and Humanities.
With his successes, he was invited as one of the judges to the First College of Education “GURO” Research Awards of Pre-Service Teachers held in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines last September 27, 2013. In the said activity, he listened, appraised, and chose the best research among the 20 papers made by PUP students in the fields of Mathematics, English, TLE, and Program Assessment.
Lastly, his paper was chosen to be presented at the International Research Conference in Higher Education to be held on October 3-4, 2013 at the Manila Hotel. The conference's theme is “Responding to Global Challenges through Multi-Disciplinary Research”. This is in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Science and Technology, National Research Council of the Philippines, and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
