Expansion of Academic Programs
The academic year 1991–1992 marked a significant milestone in the expansion and modernization of Chiang Kai Shek College’s higher education programs. To better reflect its growing academic offerings, the Collegiate Department was renamed the Faculty of Business, Arts and Sciences (FBAS).
During this period, the College introduced several new degree programs to meet the evolving demands of industry and technology. These included the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA), and Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM). The BSA program replaced the former Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) major in Accounting, while Computer Data Management was added as a new specialization under the BSC program. The Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) curriculum was also expanded with the introduction of majors in Computer Education and Mathematics.
To further support skills development and career readiness, the College launched non-degree programs, including a one-year Certificate in Data Encoding and a two-year Diploma in Software Development. These offerings demonstrated the institution’s commitment to providing relevant, technology-driven education and preparing students for emerging professional opportunities.
The College continued to enhance its business education programs with the addition of a Marketing major to the BSC curriculum during the 1993–1994 academic year. As academic priorities evolved, the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) program was phased out during the 1995–1996 school year.
These developments underscored Chiang Kai Shek College’s dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and the continuous advancement of its educational programs to meet the changing needs of students and society.
