JHS – MASCKS Brings Family Drama and Cultural Reflection to Life in Full-Length English Play Production
In collaboration with the Junior High School – English Learning Area, the Moving Actors Society of Chiang Kai Shek College (MASCKS) showcased the students’ communicative and performing arts prowess through a full-length play production in English held last March 27, 2026 at the College Auditorium.
The play follows the story of the Parsons family as they take a trip to the rural countryside, in a distant town named Majella, for its annual Wren Day festival. Jolene Parsons, the family’s matriarch, hopes to settle the crippling gambling addiction of her father-in-law, Dickens; the overwhelming alcoholic tendencies of her husband, Teddy; children, Marco and the overbearing rebellion of her daughter, Sampha, by going on a spiritual and healing journey with the locals.
