From classroom discussion in a core course, Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) into a meaningful socio-civic engagement and collaborative action, thirty-three Diploma Programme (DP) students of IB community led a fundraising initiative with a total of Php 37, 000 by selling varied products last January, 2026 for the abandoned children, the elderly and the children with special needs in Hospicio de San Jose, Manila.

For about two weeks, DP 11 and 12 students sold homemade food and various goods to their schoolmates and various goods to teachers and fellow students. All proceeds were allocated to the purchase of essential supplies, including school materials, biscuits, condiments, canned goods, spaghetti packs, soap, and hundreds of diapers. These items were carefully selected to address the daily needs of the institution’s beneficiaries.
