中正兩週內參加兩場賽事常識及數學比賽同獲亞軍

　　國際學校Southville Foreign University於十一月十三日舉辦的「普通常識比賽(Global Dimension)」, 在五十二所學校激烈的競賽中，本院奪得第二名。

　　本院代表為黃田貴( Geovin Dexter Uy)、黃泉賓（Rhys Jansen Pavon）、曾台成(Erik Lance Astillero)、高智岷(AMichael C. Gaw)、吳度輝(Hubert C. Cua)、李源博(Harvey Arvin R. Li)等六人，在群雄環伺中，脫穎而出，勇奪第二名，獲頒獎金菲幣一萬五千元，及該大學半費獎學金。

　　又訊：該場比賽結束後一週，本院三名勇將黃田貴、李源博和陳貴銘，又再披掛上陣，趕赴拉薩大學的一場「數學化學比賽（Emerge Interschool High School Competition）」。同樣的，又奪得第二名。獲得獎金菲幣三千元。

　　兩場賽事，對手全是一時之選，競爭激烈，本院學生能不辱使命，捧回獎杯，值得表揚。

　　「全菲十大傑出童軍」的選拔甫落幕，為本院爭光的三名傑出童軍張民生、李源博和林建成，再加上黃田貴，四人又再度列名「二○一○年馬尼拉十大傑出童軍（Ten Outstanding Scouts of Manila）」的榮譽榜，可謂喜上加喜。

　　「馬尼拉十大傑出童軍」之誕生，源自於二○○三年，時岷市議會會長及眾議員洪于柏先生的決定，即在大岷市各中小學舉辦一場傑出童軍之選拔，至今年為止，本院已產生了卅五位傑出童軍。

　　張民生(Jeffrey T. Dy)為本院中學童軍隊總隊長，曾榮獲菲國童軍最高級鷹級獎。他曾參與編輯去年十二月在馬基冷山舉辦的第廿六屆亞太大露營的報刊「ONE」。此外，他也是參加在中國貴陽舉行的東盟夏令營的九位菲國代表之一，且取得滿分的學習成績而歸。

Scout Bianca Lorraine W. Sing of Chiang Kai Shek College’s Troop 349 was awarded as one of the Chief Girl Scouts of the Philippines held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, last February 5, 2011.

The Chief Girl Scout Medal is the highest national award given by The Girl Scouts of the Philippines that recognizes Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts who have met the criteria for outstanding service to their community. It is built on the concept of developing a well-rounded girl scout in all aspects - spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially. Its main emphasis is on the girl’s discipline, perseverance, and sense of responsibility towards herself and the community.

CKSC High School Alumna Tops the January 2011 Pharmacist Licensure Examination

Kristina Marie Co, a graduate of CKSC High School Class of 2004, tops the recent January 2011 Pharmacist Licensure Examination.

Kristina was valedictorian and also cum laude graduate at the UP-Manila College of Pharmacy Class of 2010. During her study, she was champion in the FJCPPhA Inter-University Pharmacy Quiz Contest in 2008. She was also the recipient of UP Presidential Scholarship and UP Pharmacy Alumni Association Scholarship.

Henry Jefferson Morco, a 3rd year student, landed Second Place in the 13th Philippine Math Olympiad (PMO) Finals last January 22, 2011 . This was held at the UP and Ateneo campuses. This prestigious contest was organized by the DOST-SEI and MSP. Henry, together with Rhys Jansen Pavon, a senior high student, competed in BIOWARS sponsored by the UST Biological Society last January 31. The two emerged as Champions in the said contest and won a trophy, certificates, and P2,500.

In the 8th National Science Quest organized by the Association of Science Education in the Philippines (ASEP). Henry and Rhys again represented our school and got the Championship in Chemistry and Physics.
