元月十三日由拉薩大學主辦的年度「校際女子數學比賽（Annual girl’s Interscholatic Math Competition）」,本學院派遣三名女將參加，結果奪得團體亞軍，可賀可喜。

　　本學院參加這一場巾幗不讓鬚眉競賽，而摘得亞軍盃者為薛茜蓮(Jillian Kristel Sy)、施瑋琪(Abigail Crystel Sy)及柯芸明(Aibeemae Cua)。

　　除在團體賽取得第二名外，在個人賽中，薛茜蓮參加的三角比賽中贏得冠軍、施瑋琪參加的代數比賽中贏得亞軍、柯芸明參加的幾何比賽中贏得季軍。

　 　(又訊)元月十六日，李大昭( Ervin Fredrick Dy)和施瑋琪(Abigail Crystel Sy)又在一項難度頗高的競賽中，即由亞南遜大學主辦的校際物理比賽( Inter-High School Physics Quiz Bee)，二人同樣聯手奪得亞軍。

　　如一般的比賽，過程分三層次進行，由簡單到深奧，深奧部份往往是應用題居多，不是單憑超強的記憶力，就能勝任，中正的兩位選手在最後關頭，表現得非常特出，令人印象深刻。

　　本院大學部資訊科技(Information Technology)系三年級學生范清河(Olivia Mae Sy)於去年十二月十六日參加黎德蘭書院(Colegio de San Juan de Letran)資訊科技學院（Letran Institute of Information Technology）主辦的首屆數位藝術創作比賽(First Digital Arts Contest 2008)，在二十名參賽者中奪得第二名。第一名與第三名分別由遠東大學（FEU）及主辦單位黎德蘭書院獲得。

　　比賽主題為「重訪文化遺產地王城

　　「二○○八年度馬尼拉年度十大傑出童軍（Ten Outstanding Scouts of Manila）」日前揭曉，本學院如去年一樣，又有四名童軍上榜，即中學部的楊輝宏(Dann Julius S. Tan)、蘇偉賢(Austin G. So)、李本博(Kelly R.Li )和小學部的李宏儒(Charles C. Li)。

　　「馬尼拉十大傑出童軍」選拔，係於二○○三年由菲律賓童軍協會馬尼拉理事會(Boy Scouts of the Philippines,Manila Council )在主席、前眾議員洪于柏發起下開始甄選。得獎人當中五人自小學選出，另五人自中學選出。

Mr. Conrado S. Contreras Jr., P.E. teacher of our College since June 1996, was recently chosen as one of the “Pinakatatanging Anak ng Tondo” (Tondo’s Most Distinguished Sons) as part of the celebration of the feast of Sto. Nino de Tondo which was held last January 14, 2009 at the Plaza Amado V. Hernandez, Parokya ng Sto. Nino de Tondo.

Mr. Contreras accepted the award together with other prominent personalities in their respective fields: Nacionalista Party President Manny Villar, Manila’s Mayor Alfredo Lim, former Mayor Gemiliano Lopez Jr., Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, Newscaster Arnold Clavio, Benito Domingo, Aniceto Gepte Jr., and Dale Evangelista. Mr. Contreras, who also teaches at Lakan Dula High School in Tondo, won in the field of education, arts and culture.

Mr. Contreras’ wife, Mrs. Rosario M. Contreras, is also working at CKSC as classroom teacher in the English Instruction of the Grade School Department since June 1998.
