Triple Wins in Various High School Contests

On January 22, Aibeemae Cua and Jasmine Arielle Yap of IV-5 and Bianca Lorraine Sing of III-1 joined the Annual Girls’ Inter-Scholastic Math Competition sponsored by the High School Math Department and Society of Math Students and held at La Salle Greenhills. Aibeemae won 3rd Place in the Individual Category in Trigonometry,. Some of the participating schools include Philippine Science High School, Colegio de San Agustin, St. Paul"s College both in Quezon City and Pasig City, Philippine Cultural College, Uno High School, etc. Our students’ trainer is Mrs. Armi Mogro.
On January 23, Aibeemae Cua, Andrew Sia, and Kennard Sychingping, all from IV-5, competed in Stat Challenge XII sponsored by UP Variatos and held at UP Diliman CSWGD.
Our school capped the Third Place. First Place went to Quezon City Science High School and Second Place went to Xavier School. Many prominent schools joined this contest including Manila Science High School, Makati City Science High School, Caloocan City Science High School, Holy Angel University, Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, etc. Their trainer is Mrs. Armi Mogro.
On the same date, Aldric Cristoval Reyes of IV-5 joined and landed 3rd place in the National-Individual category of the prestigious Philippine Math Olympiad (PMO) sponsored by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines and held at the Ateneo de Manila University. Previously, Aldric won the First Place-Regional-Individual Category held on November 21, 2009. Some of the NCR schools who competed in this contest include Philippine Science High School, UNO High School, Grace Christian College, St. Paul’s College in Pasig, Ateneo de Manila University, St. Jude Catholic School, etc. Aldric’s trainer in this contest was Mr. Frederick Buiza.
