CKSC HS Student Louise Mae Tam Emerged Champion in 7th G-EPIC

To foster communication skills in English as a need for global development, Julia L. Tan Foundation of Grace Christian College annually sponsors contest, billed as Grace Christian College English Proficiency Inter-School Competition or G-EPIC. The contest includes two parts: (1) written quiz bee which covers vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and literature; and (2) extemporaneous speech.
This year, Louise Mae Tam of III-1 of Chiang Kai Shek College emerged champion in the written quiz bee during the 7th G-EPIC held last January 13, 2012 at the Little Theater of Grace Christian College-High School Department. She bested 52 students from 13 private schools in Manila and Quezon City, including St. Stephen's High School, Philippine Cultural High School, St. Anthony School, and Notre Dame of Caloocan. Furthermore, she bagged 2nd runner-up in the extemporaneous speech. She was trained by Mrs. Brenda R. Ong for the written quiz and Mrs. Clarizza Fay Cua for the speaking part.
