More achievers from CKS College!
Harold Alexis Ang Lao of CKS high school batch 2009, placed 2nd in the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination held last September 2014 by the Professional Regulation Commission. Harold also graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas, Magna cum laude.
The CKS College Scout Basketball Team won the championship crown in the 2014 APSSAM-MAPESA Basketball Tournament which had 19 private schools in Manila competing.
The Blazing Dragons emerged champions with a clean slate from the elimination round to the championship game, defeating the host Philippine Cultural College during the championship game at the PCC gym, 62-60. The team was mentored by Herbert Cuenca and Chester Kevin Sy.
In another competition, the CKS College Aqua Dragons Swim Team joined the Inter-School Invitational Swim Meet organized by St. Stephen's High School last October 4, 2014. Mishka C. Sy (3-C) was chosen as "Most Outstanding Swimmer" in the 9 years old - Female Category, winning four gold medals in the 50 meter Butterfly, 50 meter Back Stroke, 50 meter Breast Stroke, and 50 meter Freestyle events. Her teammate, JBmond Emmanuel Lim (3-G) took the silver medal in the 50 meter Butterfly for his age group.
Last October 9, Andrew Brandon Ong and Jack Calvin Chua emerged as topnotchers in the 2014 search for Ten Outstanding Scouts of Manila (TOSM), senior scout and boy scout categories, respectively.
Ong and Chua led the 12 winners chosen from various public and private schools in Manila. The awards were presented during the recognition ceremony held at the auditorium of Santa Cruz Parish Church with Ambassador Harry C. Angping, chairman emeritus, and Dr. Zenaida Pontinoza, chairman of Manila Council, Boy Scouts of the Philippines presiding.

Also victorious was the CKS Blue Dragons high school basketball team who bagged the crown in the inaugural Pilipinas Chinese Amateur Basketball League, defeating the Ateneo de Manila high school team in the championship game held on October 12 at Enderun College. In another tournament, the CKS Lady Dragons high school girls' basketball team emerged first runner-up in the juniors' basketball competition of the 2014 Women's National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA).

CKS College continues to shine brightly in different competitions!
High school students Andrew Brandon Ong, Clyde Wesley Ang, and Jan Kendrick Ong combined their wits and knowledge to catapult CKS College to 2nd Place in the team competition of the 24th GMathic Competition organized by Grace Christian College in Quezon City last September 18, 2014. Andrew Brandon Ong also emerged champion in the individual category, while Clyde Wesley Ang was 3rd Placer. Their trainer was Mrs. Armi Mogro.
CKS grade school students also swept the top three prizes in the Chinese Storytelling Contest organized by the Manila Downtown YMCA Club last September 13, 2014. Trained by Ms. Ching Yap Le Song, the winning CKSians were: 1st Place - Kathereen Kence W. Sy Suan (4-A), 2nd Place - Derrick Austin O. Co (3-D), and 3rd Place - Chloe Yamille B. Velasco (4-B).
Last but not the least, the CKS high school basketball team defended their NCR title in the 2014 Milo Passerelle Basketball Tournament last September 15, 2014 against San Beda College. Onwards they go to Cebu for the national leg competition. The basketball teams also swept both divisions of the basketball tournaments organized by the Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF), which had the championship games last September 20. The high school team walloped Hope Christian High School, 89-64, to win their division while the elementary team nipped St. Jude Catholic School, 36-34, to win the developmental competition. It is the third straight year that both teams emerged champions in the annual competition.
