Chiang Kai Shek College scouts, along with scouts from nearly twenty other countries, joined the Hong Kong Scouts 105^th Anniversary Jamboree held from December 23 to 27, 2016 at Penny’s Bay, Lantau Island near Hong Kong Disneyland.

The CKS scouts stayed in the sub-camp managed by the New Territories Region, along with scouts from Iceland and youth groups from Mainland China. There were a total of 5 sub-territories in the said camp.

Scouts Guan Kee Cai, Jared Blasé Sy, and Michael Benjamin Morco represented the Philippines in the 3K fun run. Scout Morco also actively joined the Youth Forum, during which they tackled the issue on “How can Scouting be made more relevant to the youth?”.

The 5-day jamboree emphasized 3 key points - youth involvement, sustainable development, and international Scouting.

“This Jamboree represents passion, friendship, challenge, devotion, integration, faith, and peace,” said Mr. Kwan Kee, the camp director. “Let us join hands together and be a global citizen and follow the footsteps of our Founder, Lord Baden Powell.”

The contingent was guided by Scout leaders Judelio Yap, Naty Sia, Jelvin Ralph Sy, Kervin Clyde Go, and Oliver John Christian Liu. Twenty two CKSian scouts hail were members of the Philippine contingent, including (in first name alphabetical order): Aleksandra Sofiya Sy, Charles Stepven Lin, Daniel Paul Li, Dianne Chua, Dixon Chua, Elisa Tiu, Gavin Tan, Gilliane Lim, Guan Kee Cai, Harvey Chan, Heidi Sy, Jack Chua, Jared Blasé Sy, John Wayne Velez, Judy Hong, Kate Cassandra de Ramos, Kim Nicole de Ramos, Michael Benjamin Morco, Shuhui Shi (Sophia Lim), Somille Jean Shi (Kullie Ann Shi), and Wei Ye Shi.

More than 5000 scouts from all over the world attended the jamboree.
