Chiang Kai Shek College conducted orientation programs for its freshmen and transferees on all levels not only to welcome its new students, but also to brief them on school rules, regulations, and policies, and relay information they should know about their new Alma Mater.
First to do so was the Faculty of Business, Arts, and Sciences last June 3. The college freshmen were oriented on college life through a discussion of their roles and responsibilities in school by Dr. Rolance Chua, head of the FBAS Department of Student Affairs. Dr. Dory Poa attended the event on her first official function as new CKSC President. Senior Vice President Mrs. Carmelita Espino delivered the welcome remarks, amidst the presence of the academic deans and other department heads who also gave talks related to their respective services.
The High School Discipline Office held its version of the orientation program on June 21 at the CKSC Auditorium. Mrs. Sun Ten Choa, head of the discipline office, utilized a Power point presentation to introduce the school administration, and to expound the college vision-mission statement. Her staff assisted her in explaining the contents of the school manual thoroughly.
The grade school discipline office, led by Jelvin Ralph Sy, held orientation not only for grade 1 pupils but also re-orientation for those in grades 2 and 3 on June 20 and 21 at the Little Theater. Orientation for higher grade school levels will follow soon as schedules permit.
