In order to apply problem-solving skills and find ways to ease the inconveniences encountered by the general population on a daily basis, the Grade 5 VT students held the very first Primary Years Programme (candidate school) Science Fair on March 3.
Through research, use of the scientific method, and application of their knowledge of elements and compositions, students conducted experiments and were able to showcase different studies that are beneficial to humans.
The event was composed of two sets of presentations from groups A and B. It was followed by a question and answer portion, and ended with a feedback writing activity. Fifth grade students from Taipei Kuei Shan School and Grade 5 parents served as the program’s audience.
The exhibit proved that the things we use in our everyday lives are a result of the interaction of elements, and that most problems can be solved with planning, research, collaboration, and perseverance. Congratulations to Grade 5 VT!
