GS United Nations Day Celebration 2021

The Araling Panlipunan Learning Area of the Grade School English Instruction held its United Nations Day Celebration from October 18 to 22, 2021, with the theme, “The Road to a Lasting Peace: Leveraging the Power of Youth for Peace and Security.”
This celebration highlights the performance of all the students at each grade level with the following objectives: to provide an opportunity to showcase their talents in song interpretation and recitation, and to promote peace through different music as a way of celebrating United Nations Day.
The youngsters in grades one and two demonstrate their talent by reciting "How Peace Begins," a poem written by their teacher, Mrs. Maria Cristina Ramos, about fostering peace. Students in grades three through six were given a song to interpret. Every level had a different song to interpret, such as: It's a Small World, Heal the World, We Are the World, and Yesterday's Dream, to name a few. In addition, a slogan making project for the Grades 6 students to promote peace and unity.
The celebration is designed to provide an opportunity for students of Chiang Kai Shek College Grade School Department to participate in a variety of activities centered on the United Nations Day theme. The purpose of the event is to raise student awareness of the goals of this intergovernmental organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights, social progress, and world peace.
