CKSC is the First School to Garner 3 Out of 10 National Winners in 2010 Search for Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of The Phils.

Chiang Kai Shek College became the first school in the history of the Annual National Search for Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts (TOBS) of the Philippines to produce 3 out of 10 winners in the same year.
In 2004, CKSC was also the very first school to produce 2 winners from the search in the same year.
The search for Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines was conceived in 1989 by the late Education Secretary Isidro Carino as an avenue to propagate values education. The annual search aims to give recognition to the most outstanding scouts who epitomize sterling qualities of school and community leadership excellence and good moral conduct.
Criteria for judging includes leadership potential and involvement in community services in school and in the community, non-academic awards and recognition, academic proficiency, character development, personality and proper bearing, and verbal communication skills.
During the awarding ceremonies held at the Makati City Hall last October 4, 2010, the 10 National Winners were finally announced by Mr. J. Rizal C. Pangilinan, the Secretary General of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. They were chosen from the 25 national finalists representing the different regions in the Philippines from as far as Aparri and Cagayan Valley in Northern Luzon to Davao and Cotabato in Mindanao.
The contest is open to all Boy Scouts (10 to 17 years old) and Senior Scouts (13 to 17 years old) currently enrolled in at least third or fourth year high school. Winners of the search received two-year college scholarships worth P30,000; cash prize of P15,000; trophies, medals, and plaques for themselves and their schools.
Among the winners in 2010 were representatives of the provinces of Rizal, Palawan, Agusan, Cagayan, Cebu, Iloilo, and the three winners from National Capital Region represented by senior scouts of Chiang Kai Shek College, namely Eugene Lester R. Lin, Harvey Arvin R. Li, and Jeffrey T. Dy.
Eugene Lester R. Lin is the senior patrol leader of the CKSC Elementary Boy Scout Troop. He has been a scout since grade 4, and has received the highest advancement award of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines , the Eagle Scout Award. He is a multi-titled swimmer with more than 200 gold, silver and bronze medals and trophies won in many different competitions. He is also a good mathematician, having won medals in international Math competitions sent by the Mathematics Trainers Guild to Singapore and China.
Jeffrey T. Dy, on the other hand, is the senior patrol leader of the CKSC High School Senior Scout Troop. A boy scout since grade 5, he is one of the 9 representatives from the Philippines who joined the China-ASEAN Summer Camp last August, 2010 at Kwai Yang in China, where he got a perfect score of 100% in the final examination. Jeffrey is active in many community service projects organized by the school and various agencies, a proof of his concern for his fellowmen and well-being.
Harvey Arvin R. Li serves as assistant senior patrol leader of the senior scout troop. He is a Venturer Rank Scout, the second highest rank in Boy Scouts
of the Philippines. Harvey has represented the school in many interscholastic competitions, including extemporaneous speaking, essay writing, mathematics, and science. Like Eugene and Jeffrey, he has been a scout since grade 4. He is also the literary editor of the school paper, the Quest, and also news editor of the CKSC Scout newspaper , the Scout Monitor. He was also one of the Ten Outstanding Scouts of Manila (Elementary level) in 2005.The awards were presented to the winners by Philippine Vice President Jejomar Binay, who also serves as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee and National President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, and other key officers of the Boy Scouts, the DepEd, and the Coca-Cola Export Corporation.
To-date, CKSC has produced 22 winners in the annual search, the first CKSC winner was in 1994. Previous winners include Mel Anthony Y. Cruz (1994),
