Fresh from his success as Champion in Biology in the National Finals of the 7th National Science Quest held in Tabaco, Albay, Henry Jefferson Morco of II-2 added another feather in his cap by being one of the 25 merit winners in the recently concluded “Dare 2 Dream” Youth Writers Awards Asia 2010 English Short Story Writing Competition sponsored by Reader’s Digest and the National Library Board of Singapore in celebration of Singapore’s hosting the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
Youth from different Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, and the Philippines participated in this creative writing contest.

In the Philippines, only three were selected merit winners. These were: 1) Henry Jefferson Morco of Chiang Kai Shek College, 2). Alexandra Mae See of Don Bosco School, and 3). Goldielyn Suzanne Chua Limsiy of Grace Christian College.

由拉薩大學主辦的年度校際女子數學比賽（Annual girl’s Interscholatic Math Competition），各校須派女將參加，巾幗不讓鬚眉，本院柯芸明(Aibeemae Cua)同學榮獲季軍。

參加是項比賽中菲學校有十幾所，競爭激烈，柯芸明能在三四十位好手中勇奪第三，值得讚揚。

又訊：本院柯芸明在拉薩的女子數學賽後的隔日，又與佘展合(Andrew Sia)及施宗展( Kennard Sychingping)三人出戰另一場在菲國立大學的數學賽(Stat Challenges XII)，同樣奪得團體季軍。

是項競賽更是網羅各市中菲數學重點科技數學名校數十所，如Manila Science High School、Makati Science High School、 Caloocan City Science High School、Quezon City Science High School、Rizal National Science High School, 一場龍爭虎鬥下來，中正終於奪得季軍，特再予以表揚。

隨著中國經濟的崛起，漢語熱在世界各地持續升溫，為增加自己將來在職場上競爭的籌碼，精通華語已是刻不容緩的事。今年應家長及校友要求，本學院第五度舉辦「2010年度暑期菲華學生上海漢語進修團」，進修地點：上海名校「晉元高級中學」。

「上海晉元高級中學」創建於1904年，為上海市實驗性示範性現代化寄宿制高級中學，由於具有精良的現代化教學設備，教學嚴謹、師資雄厚，而成為上海市重點級學校。

在如此高起點、大規模，具有標誌性、充分體現一流教育的學校，進行為期六週的進修，成果必定豐盈。

本院中四學生蔡智雄(Aldric Cristobal Reyes)、施宗展(Kennard Sychingping)及陳仁仁（Catherine Tan）三人最近參加萊茜安大學(Lyceum of the Phil. University)所舉辦的「腦力賽」（Brain Quest 2010），聯手擊敗來自三十一所名校的對手，奪得團體冠軍，可賀可喜。

參賽名校包括Manila Science High School、G. Perfecto High School、靈惠學院、Rizal High School、Florentino Torres High School、僑中學院、崇德學校、Jose P. Laurel High School、Elizabeth Seton School、Good Shepherd Cathedral School、Montessori de Manila、Las Pinas East National High School等。

該項比賽分三個項目－科學、數學及普通常識，本院三名代表蔡智雄、施宗展及陳仁仁分別參加上述三項比賽，不只捧得團體冠軍盃，獲得獎金菲幣五千元。個人方面，蔡智雄在科學賽中亦獲得第三名，陳仁仁在普通常識比賽獲得第二名。

又訊：由聖道瑪示大學生物社主辦的「校際生物競賽」(BIOWARS)，本院選派中三學生黃泉賓(Rhys Jansen Pavon）及曾台成(Erik Lance Astillero)出賽，兩人亦聯手奪得季軍。

對手包括崇德學校、僑中學院、嘉南中學、Fountain International School、Emilio Aguinaldo High School、Holy Trinity School、Paco Catholic School、Espiritu Santo Catholic School、Pasig City. Science High School、San Sebastian College等名校的優秀代表。
