由大力推動華文教育，華社知名專欄作家李榮美先生贊助，「菲華專欄作家協會」和「菲律濱華文學校聯合會」合辦的「首屆華校學生合唱比賽」，於十 二月十二日(星期六)上午在聖公會中學隆重登場。參賽隊伍共十隊，結果冠軍為「中正青少年合唱團」所奪，不僅合唱團的團員齊聲歡呼，聚集在大禮堂參加本院 聖誕聯歡會的六百餘位教職員獲悉捷聞，也為此雀躍不已。
由陳琳琳老師指揮的「中正學院青少年合唱團」曾多次在華社舉辦的合唱比賽中大 放異彩。舉其大者，如一九九六年參加「全國青年藝術家音樂比賽NAMYCA」榮獲季軍，二○○七年參加泰國巴達亜的「音樂旅程」國際合唱比賽，榮獲公開賽 組金牌、民謠組金牌，並在大決賽中，在最優秀的五隊合唱團中，榮獲「最有潛力合唱團」特別獎。由於在樂壇中聲名鵲起，常應中菲機構邀請，參加各種盛典演 出，獲得佳評如潮。
George Tanlimco Jr., a sixteen year old senior high school student of our college, was recently chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines. He was the only Metro Manila bet to be chosen to this elite group of national scout awardees in ceremonies held at the Makati City Session Hall last October 2009.
Spending half of his time as a boy scout and living up to the scout slogan of “Laging Handa (Always Ready)”, Tanlimco was inspired to do his best ever since he joined the Scout Movement in Grade One. One of his outstanding virtues is his patience. He could handle a class of 40 grade school pupils without losing his patience. He is good in academics, active as a scout, and he has been joining national events as well as international events in scouting.
亞典耀大學電腦社舉辦的「資訊科技賽(Slash IT Quiz Bee Competition)」，中正隊榮獲冠軍。又個人最高分，亦為本院佘展合(Andrew Sia)同學所得。
為本院爭得頭籌的是由高永齡(Paul Kenny Ko)和林立(Linconn Ong)的二人組。佘展合(Andrew Sia)和高智岷(Michael Gao)二人的組合雖未勝出，但佘展合卻奪得個人最高分的榮譽。
似此高科技的IT競賽，本院之前初試身手，在靈惠中學舉辦的「第二屆校際資訊科技比賽(The 2nd Grace I.T. Interschool Quiz Bee)」中，高永齡、佘展合和林立三人亦合力奪得季軍。
IT資訊科技萌芽於五○年代，隨著世紀的變遷，網際網路的普遍使用,而急速發展成為一門重要的學問。但相對的，該學科的艱深亦可想而知，中正能在眾多中 菲名校競逐中，包括Marikina Science High School、Pasig Catholic School、Sacred Heart Catholic School、Makati Science High School、Claret School of Quezon City、St. Paul College Pasig、Tuazon High School、School of Holy Spirit、Pasig Catholic School等校，獲得名次，實屬不易。

On November 14, the team consisting of students Kevin Panuelos, Catherine Tan, Kennard Sychingping, Aldric Reyes, Charmaine Chua, and Edgardo Mendoza Jr. won third runner-up in the Global Dimension ’09 organized by Southville Foreign University. This is a general information contest and out of a total of 342 participants, Kennard Sychingping got the highest individual score. For this feat Kennard can avail of 70% scholarship grant in the said university should he plan to enroll in the said university next school year. There were 57 participating schools in the contest.
On November 19, Raenelle Ngo of I-2 won 2nd place while Henry Jefferson Morco of II-2, Rhys Pavon of III-1 and Aldric Cristoval Reyes of IV-5, won 1st place respectively in the Regional Science Competition organized by DepEd-NCR in Valenzuela City. More than 30 private and public schools competed. Henry was ranked top 2 while Aldric was top 3 in the individual overall.
菲律濱國立大學為提高菲國中學生科技水準，接二連三的舉辦各種學科比賽，除月前舉辦的數學賽外，十二月五日，該校物理社(U. P. Physics Association)亦舉辦名為PISIK Salaman的物理科大賽，共有二十六隊參賽，中正隊榮獲季軍。
參賽學校包括公私立科學重點學校，如Philippine Science High School、Quezon City Science High School、Makati Science High School、Ateneo de Manila University、St. Paul Pasig等。
比賽結果，本院由蔡智雄(Aldric Cristoval Reyes)、施宗展(Kennard Sychingping)、和李輝勇(Justin Aaron Dy)組成的隊伍贏得亞軍。
又訊：十二月七日，本院另一隊代表柯芸明(Aibeemae Cua)、黃泉賓(Rys Jansen Pavon)及陳仁仁(Catherine Tan)，也參加了該大學科學院主辦的「數理生化比賽(Caducens Cup)」 ，在二十二隊參賽的角逐中榮獲季軍。
本院學生人才濟濟，不同的比賽均有具實力的學生可代表參加，且都入寶山而手捧獎盃歸。
