Hobard Jonn Kennie J. Lim, currently a 4th year high school student of CKSC was recently awarded the 2007 Honesty Award by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP)-National Court of Honor for having surrendered a wallet containing Seven Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P7,500). He found the wallet inside his classroom.

The award was supposed to be presented by BSP National President and concurrent Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay during the annual BSP National Conference at the Palo Academic Center in Tacloban, Leyte last May 25 but because of Hobard’s absence on that day, it was presented instead last June 13 at the CKSC during their flag ceremony.

Aleli Jilian L. Sia, a CKSC high school batch 2003 graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines with the degree Bachelor of Science in Biology. Her thesis, “Anti-Atherosclerotic Effect of Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius) on Hypercholesterolemic Male Rats (Rattus norvergicus)” was awarded as best thesis. Aleli was a consistent honor student during her studies at Chiang Kai Shek College, having graduated as Valedictorian in both Grade School Class of 1999 and High School Class of 2003. She is also an active member of the well-known Chiang Kai Shek College Youth Choir under Ms. Irma Tan Su.

Jedrik Lenci Sy Ho, a CKSC high school batch 2001 graduate, landed 4th place in the recent May 2007 Dentist Licensure Examination. He graduated from Centro Escolar University with the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2007. Previous to that, he was a consistent Dean’s Lister of the same university where he took up Associate in Arts in Preparatory Dentistry in 2003. He also earned the honor of “Best Student in Physics” in the School Year 2002-2003.

Henry Morco Jefferson, a grade six pupil recently competed in the 2007 Asia-Pacific Math Olympiad in Singapore last May 24. 5, 927 students from 13 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Brunei, Hong Kong, the Philippines, etc. participated in the 12 years old age limit. Questions in the quiz included Geometry, Algebra, Number Theory, etc. Henry topped the contest in his age bracket.
