Temporary Telephone Lines (July 12 to 14, 2014)


Please be informed that the telephone trunk lines of CKSC with numbers from 2526161 to 67 will temporarily be unavailable from July 12 to 14, 2014 (Saturday to Monday) because of systems upgrading. For student concerns, please call the following direct lines: 2526122 (Wong Chun Seng Memorial Preschool), 2520385 (Kindergarten and Grade School Discipline Office), and 2520394 (High School Discipline Office).

Chiang Kai Shek College Joins Manila in Citywide Multi-Disaster Drills


There will be emergency exercises to be conducted simultaneously in Manila establishments on July 2, 2014, in compliance with R. A. No. 10121, or the "Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010."

Chiang Kai Shek College joins the City of Manila in these activities, setting up safety procedures to follow during unforeseen situations, such as earthquakes, tsunami, flash floods, and fire. All school personnel and students will participate in these drills. There is no change in regular class schedules, and students are expected to bring their daily school materials.

Procedures practiced on this day will be reviewed, refined, and incorporated by school management into programmed, unannounced drills during the school year. We look forward to having everyone's full cooperation.

2014–2015 MAPE, MAPEH and CADT Classes: Schedule and Room Assignments


Schedule and room assignments, MAPE and MAPEH, CADT Classes. Grades 1 to 3 MAPE classes are integrated into their classroom schedules.

PE classes start tomorrow for High School (M-W), and June 19 for Grade School students (T-TH). Wear your PE uniforms on assigned PE days. All students are expected to have acquired their PE uniforms by July 2014.

Library Rules and Schedules


Library Hours:

Mondays to Fridays   6:45 AM to 4:30 PM Grade School Library
    6:45 AM to 4:45 PM High School Library
    8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Preschool Library
       
Saturdays   8:00 AM to 11:30 AM All libraries

General Rules for Students:

  1. To borrow books and library materials, you must secure a library card valid for the present school year. No valid card, no borrowing.
  2. Grade School students can borrow two (2) books for a period of three (3) days, and High School students can borrow two (2) books for a period of one (1) week.
  3. Eating, drinking, sleeping, and littering are not allowed in the library.
  4. Observe silence. Avoid idle conversations and loud laughter. Should you need to discuss an important matter, please have the conversation outside the library.
  5. Keep things in order. Push chairs back gently towards the table when you leave the library.
  6. Handle books and library materials with care. Do not crease them, put heavy weight on them, write on them, nor use them as support under your writing.
  7. Do not conceal or steal books. Do not tear out pages. Do not forge signatures. These acts are subject to disciplinary action.
  8. Leave your school bags, folders, envelopes, and lunch boxes in special designated areas outside the library.
  9. You are held responsible for the books signed out in your name. Do not let other people use your library card, and do not leave the books you borrowed in other people's keeping. For High School students, in cases you need to extend your borrowing period, kindly inform your librarian and take note of further instructions.
  10. Misbehavior may result in losing library privileges and/or suspension from the library, according to the discretion of the Head Librarian. Repeated cases will be reported to the Office of Discipline.

Fines and Penalties

  1. For overdue books- One peso (P1.00) per day
  2. For lost library card - Five pesos (P5.00) ; New card may be claimed after filing an application for card replacement

Damaged or Lost Book:

  1. Borrower will need to replace a lost or damaged book with a copy of the same book.

General Rules for Teachers, Administrators, and Other Employees:

  1. Faculty members, administrators, and other office staff members are each given a library card at the start of the school year, valid only for that school year.
  2. A teacher/staff can borrow up to five (5) books for a period of two (2) weeks.
  3. A teacher/staff is responsible for books signed out in his or her name. Books must be returned before another borrower can sign them out. Kindly inform your librarian when you need to extend your borrowing period before your books are due.
  4. The library card must be presented always whenever one borrows, returns, or extends period of borrowing library materials.
  5. Reservation for audio-visual materials like pictures, charts, maps, and devices should be made at least one (1) day before their use to minimize, if not avoid, conflicts. This allowance will also help you plan for contingencies, if needed.
  6. Reservation of  library facilities should be made two (2) days before their use to avoid unnecessary conflicts. Knowing your options days before your date of request will help you plan for contingencies.
