TxtFire Holds Fire Safety Demo for Preschool Pupils

As part of Chiang Kai Shek College’s effort to ensure its students' safety, the preschool department invited a team of volunteer firefighters and paramedics headed by Jones T. Lim from TxtFire Philippines to conduct a short talk about fire hazards and safety precautions last September 12. The fire volunteers made the children aware of the danger imposed by fire. They taught the kids proper ways of handling themselves. Don’t panic, stay low, STOP, DROP, and ROLL are some of the hands-on demonstrations learned. Kids enjoyed doing these activities with Sparky, the dog mascot.
Mr. Jones Lim also showed the kids the right technique of rescuing fire victims. At an early age, the preschoolers were introduced to some life skills to develop their readiness and preparedness.

Nakamit ng Kolehiyo ng Chiang Kai Shek ang ikalawang karangalan sa inilunsad na Dagliang Talumpati (Extemporaneous Speaking) mula sa 19 na paaralang lumahok sa Maynila sa pangunguna ng The Association of Private Secondary Schools Administrators Manila (APSSAM). Naging kinatawan ng CKSC si John Bengemin Uy mula sa ikaapat na taon ng kasalukuyang taon, sa ilalim ng pagsasanay ng Tagapag-ugnay ng Kagawaran ng Filipino na si Gng. Ruth Ocampo-Gabiane. Tatlong bagay ang kinaharap ni Uy sa nasabing patimpalak bago niya nakamit ang tagumpay– ang matalinong pagsagot sa isang biglaang tanong, ang kahusayan sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino, at ang pagharap sa maraming tao taglay ang tiwala sa sarili.
From countless seminars organized by the school and various organizations for the students, along came the day when we celebrated and recognized the people whom we fondly call our second parents, the people whom we gain knowledge from & the people whom we shall remember for the rest of our lives, who taught, applauded, corrected, challenged, and influenced our thoughts, words, and deeds inside the school---our teachers.
Last September 24, 2013, members and non-members of the CKSC-FBAS Computer Society attended the seminars of TECHTUTOR 5 entitled “The Gamification of Education” held at the SM Mall of Asia ARENA.

As CKSC-FBAS seniors prepare to graduate from school in March and start a brand new chapter in their lives, it is important for them to know how a person should dress properly in the corporate world. In light of this, the Senior Organization invited Ms. Julia Robillos to deliver a talk on how CKSCians can look their best in the workplace. The seminar was held at the AVR, CKSC Narra campus on September 18, 2013.
