With the main objective of providing greater access to tertiary education that allows young people to acquire adequate knowledge and skills to earn a living in order to support their families, the Chiang Kai Shek College and PSBank Educational Assistance Program recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement last July 26, 2013 at the 2nd Floor of the Conference Room of CKSC’s Faculty of Business, Arts, and Sciences at the Narra campus.
For the School Year 2013-2014, eleven (11) college students in varying courses and year levels, ranging from BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Technology, Management, etc., were the recipients of this Two Hundred and Twenty Thousand Pesos (P220,000) grant. The Chiang Kai Shek College Wong Chun Seng Memorial Preschoolers had an interactive day with friendly animals at Ark Avilon Zoo last August 2, 2013. The place is an indoor interactive zoo that resembles the biblical Noah's Ark.
The pupils were greeted by loud squawks from vibrant Macaw birds perched on branches. They also had a glimpse of some wildlife "ambassadors" like tiger, lion, puma, hyena, and others. The kids got up close and personal with Jenny, the Bornean Orangutan. Hands-on, they took turns feeding rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, and goats at the Farmland Feeding Station. It was, however, the pond that attracted a huge gathering, with the children seeing Koi fishes fidgeting in water. The trip ended as the high-spirited kids boarded the school bus bound back for school, with sweet smiles on their faces.
